Rottbøll Family

The Rottbøll family. In 1984, at the age of 23, Hans Henning Rottbøll took over Børglum Abbey, and two years later he married Anne Fulgede Jørgensen. The couple runs the estate's 1000 plus acres of land as ordinary farmland, with the primary focus plant cultivation.

In addition, the Rottbøll Family has 3,000 m2 of exhibition space, with art and history exhibitions. These exhibitions can be seen from Easter through 23 October - open 7 days a week between 10 am - 5 pm.

The family also holds a traditional Christmas Weekend, where it opens all the private rooms to the public.

Anne and Hans Rottbøll, together with their four children, reside in all of the abbey's 85 rooms.

They are happy to share the cultural heritage they are responsible for managing with the local inhabitants and the tourists that come from near and far.
